शादी का पहला कार्ड गणपति जी को जायेगा

आजकल एक नया ट्रेंड चल रहा है की जब समधी को शादी का निमंत्रण पत्र दिया जाता है तो वह स्पेशली सिल्वर का वनवा दिया जाता है जिससे की वो एक यादगार के रूप में हो जाता ह।  शादी के कार्ड के साथ कुछ मीठा, मेवा व् कुछ रुपये ऊपर से रख दिए जाते है। 

जिस दिन पीली चिट्ठी और लगन पत्रिका लिखी कर भेजी जाएगी उसके साथ एक गोला अगर हो सके तो चांदी का, मीठे एंड लिफाफा के साथ जायेगी.

लगन पंडित लिखता है। लड़के की लगन आती है और लड़की की लगन जाती है। दो लगन लिखी जाती है, एक लगन लड़की को गोद में देते हैं दूसरी लगन मामा को भात के टाईम देते है। लगन लिखने के वक्त परिवार के लोग आते हैं और गीत गाये जाते हैं। फिर दाल-चावल से देवी-देवता पूजते हैं।

फॉर सेवल - मां नहीं देखेगी बारात... बारात आने पर

लड़की की मां कभी भी लड़की के लिए आई बारात नहीं देखती, ऐसा रिवाज कई जगहों में देखने को मिलता है. कुछ बड़े-बूढ़ों से कहते है कि कहीं लड़की की खुशियों को मां की ही नजर न लग जाए. कितनी अजीब बात है की मां की ही नज़र बरात को लग जाएगी

द्वाराचार

द्वाराचार में वरपक्ष कन्यापक्ष से मिलता है, ताकि वे दोनों एक-दूसरे को समझ सकें। इस परंपरा का अर्थ है कि पूरे शहर में बारात को घुमाकर लोग यह जान जाएँ कि दूल्हा कैसा है, साथ ही जो बारात आई है वह तयशुदा है।

द्वार रोकना

शादियों में वर-वधू का द्वार सालियाँ व बहनें रोकती हैं। इसके चलते दूल्हे द्वारा उन्हें शगुन दिया जाता है। इसका एक पक्ष ससुराल में बहन द्वारा अपनी भाभी से परिचय करना भी है, जिससे दोनों के बीच अपनत्व की भावना पनप सके।

विवाह कार्यक्रम में द्वार पूजा का भी विशेष मह्तव होता है, जब बारात के साथ पहुंचे दूल्हा का स्वागत सत्कार किया जाता है। दुल्हन की मां दूल्हें का तिलक लगाकर आरती करती हैं और फिर दूल्हे पर फूल-चावल न्यौछावर कर उसे शादी के मंडप तक लाया जाता है।

तोरण :-

घर के द्वार पर जहाँ वरमाला की रस्म करनी होती है, वहाँ पर चौक पूरकर एक सजी हुई चौकी रख दी जाती है। घर के द्वार के ऊपर तोरण (बाजार में उपलब्ध) टांगा जाता है। सालियाँ नीम की डाली और पानी के लोटे के साथ अपने जीजा का इन्तजार करती हैं, घर की औरतें तोरण और मंगल गीत गाती हैं। दूल्हा चौकी पर खड़ा होकर नीम की डाली को तोरण से छुआता है। साली सात बार नीम झारी करती है, साली को वर की तरफ से नेग मिलता है। आजकल सालियाँ द्वार पर रिब्बन भी कटवाती हैं। इसके बाद कन्या की माँ/भाभी/बहन (जो भी रिवाज हो) तिलक करके मिन्नती है और नारियल रुपया देती है। जवाई के कान या माथे पर चांदी के सिक्के से दही लगाती है। मीठा दही व् पान खिलाती है, सूट पर लगी तनी या क्लिप खोलती है। वर के जीजा/दोस्त वधू पक्ष पर इत्र का छिड़काव करते हैं जिससे मन के साथ-साथ वातावरण भी महक जाता है।

 दुल्हन के माता-पिता, परिवार और मित्रों के साथ तिलक, आरती और मालायें भेंट करते हैं तथा बारात में आये हुए अतिथतियों का आदर सत्कार करते हैं

बारात आने पर:

आरता थाल:  रोली, नमक चावल, राइ, दीपक, पान,  दीपक, १ गोला, मिश्री  और टॉफी, १ लिफाफा फॉर दामाद

दूल्हे के फटके में से पुराना सामान खोल के ये सामान रखना होता है

कोरथ

कन्यापक्ष वाले वरपक्ष के घर जाकर (यदि उसी शहर में हो तो) या जनवासे में जाकर उन्हें बारात लाने का आमंत्रण देते हैं। वर को चौकी पर बिठाकर पंडित द्वारा पूजा करवाते हैं लड़की वाले वर को तिलक करते हैं और समधी को मिलनी देते हैं। इस अवसर पर कन्या का मामा वर के मामा को मिलनी देता है।

दूल्हे का परिवार दुल्हन की तरफ के पंडित जी को टोकन राशि देता है और मेहमानों को नाश्ते और पेय भी परोसता है। इसके बाद, बारात विवाह स्थल के लिए रवाना होने के लिए तैयार है।

 (बारात) जब लड़की के घर के पास पहुँच जाती है तो उसकी अगवानी करने लड़की के घर से कुछ परिजन वहां पहुँच कर वे पथ-प्रदर्शक की भूमिका में बरात को सम्मान सहित पास में रुका कर कुछ खाने पीने की व्यवस्था कर आग्रह कर के खिलाते हुए उनका अतिथि सत्कार करते हैं। बरात को रुकने का नियत डेरा पहले ही बता दिया जाता है। इसे जनवासा भी कहते हैं। बारात का एक आदमी लड़की के घर पहुंचकर बारात के पहुंचने की सूचना व बधाई देता है, उसे बधाईदार कहते हैं।

 ·                Decide name of the person you want to invite for this Bhat ceremony.  In general, these are the names of very close family.  Tradition is that, mother of the boy or girl goes to his brother's place to invite them along with their all-close family to come for the wedding.

 4th Dec 2013: Wednesday: 2:00 pm - Ladies Sangeet- Bhat, Mehandi, Haldat / Thapa: Naeen / Geeto Wali for singing of songs. She really creates a ghar mein shadi wala mahol.  Moreover, now a days no body in the family knows traditional songs of different occasions of the wedding, so better to have these ones.

 6th Dec 2013: Friday - Message of Arrival:  Who first brings the message to the family that bride has come, may be devar or cousins, some shagun is given to them.  Shagun for Driver is also to give.

Darwaja Rukai:  In Dasrwaja Rukai bua or sisters do this rasam. Some money or gifts are given to them.

·         Aarta, Lota with aam kay Pattay: Ater Darwaja rukai mother-in-law do aarta of the groom and bride and some water is dropped on both side of the darwaja.  And bride then put hands print with Haldi or roli on the gate of the house.

White Bed Sheet, Rice, Mathri, Diya – Mooh Dikhai, Pair Chuai:

·         After this bride enters in the house, in general a white bed sheet is spread on the earth and seven packets of each of rice, mathari, on both the side of the bed sheet and then bride enters the house touching it with her foot each without touching anything else, she has to enter in the house.  

·         In some families, one put kalash filled with rice and a parat filled with roli water. In that case bride enter the house after hitting kalash and after putting her put foot in partat. Then moonh (face) dikhai rasam is performed.  At first this rasam is performed by mother-in-law.  She saw bride’s face in the light of diya and give her some gift and after this all-family members see the face of the bride and give their gifts to her. 

Then after taking some rest and bath, some games are played like rings to find in the water, Stick wrapped in flowers se khelana. It is called OOdey – Boodey game.

Then it is a custom, younger brother of the boy or to who is younger in the family sits in the god (lap) of bhabhi.

Next day after having Bath, to add in Jaat like in our family it is done in Kalka Ji mandir.  You can carry Halwa Puri, chana from the home or can be prepared at the mandir itself.  Then put bhog to Kalka ji Ma in the temple and then feed seven girls and one boy and then you all can have rest of the food.  

After reaching home bride put her hands in five things i.e. Kanji, Aata, Ghee, Sugar. Rice.

Kadi Chawal is served this day as food.

After this some dance Sangeet program is done and bride also participate in this.

Pag Phera: Brother to come in the evening for Pag phere,

Bride goes with her brother in new saree gifted by her mother in law.

6th Dec 2013 Evening: Bhatai Vidai - In this tika is done to all and 5 Kgs Sweets, Mathri (This is called dhalla) and sarees from the dhalle ke sanduk se are given to Bhabhi and girls.

Dhyani Vidai - In this tika is done to all and 5 Kgs Sweets, Mathri (This is called dhalla) and sarees from the dhalle ke sanduk se are given to sister and Bua.  Also the tika with envelop will be done to brother--n-law or son-in-law.

 

 I have just mentioned here whatever is in my knowledge.  You must check whatever is done in your family, so it can variant.

 Pandit whom you have booked for wedding will write Lagan Patrika which will be taken to brother’s place at (or Mama's of the boy or girl) the time of Bhat
